Radiation Therapists of Wisconsin

At this time, radiation therapists are not included in the state licensure statute. Only registered radiographers who perform diagnosticx-ray procedures are included, such as flouroscopy, computed tomography and diagnostic radiography. Exempt from Chap. 462, Stats are those performing bone densitometry, MRI, sonography nuclear medicine and radation therapy treatment planning. Radiation therapists who perform CT's are exempt, because these scans are for therapeutic treatment planning, and is not a diagnostic exam.
